Summary:

Perform service, inspection, and installation activities for commercial electronic fire alarm, security alarm, paging, access control, and CCTV systems.

Requirements:

• Read and understand blue prints, schematic diagrams, specifications, installation/operations manuals, and project documentation.
• Perform project specific application programming utilizing product software.
• Lifting of equipment and tools up to 40 lbs.
• Climbing ladders and scaffolding.
• Proficient use of test equipment and knowledge of Windows operating system environment.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Obtaining Maryland State Police security technician license.
• National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) Level II – Fire Alarm
• Perform other duties as directed.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Good communications skills – written and oral.
• Good interpersonal skills and a team player.
• PC skills (spreadsheets, word processing, and database)

Job Opening: Fire Alarm Dispatcher/PM

Summary:

Pursue contacts with electrical companies for ESD Sales and Fire Alarm Retrofit Jobs. Assist with fire alarm project design and manage project from design to Fire Marshal Final.

Requirements:

Certifications and Experience Include:

• Minimum NICET Level II Certification.
• Minimum five years experience in running fire alarm service calls and/or testing.
• Must be familiar with hard wired systems as well as addressable systems.
• Must be familiar with all fire alarm vendors, Simplex, Notifier, Siemens, EST, etc.
• Must have good communication/writing skills.
• Must have good computer skills, Word, XL Spread Sheets.
• Must be able to multitask, direct multiple Service Tech’s, and re-prioritize daily activities as needed.
• Must be able to estimate and price small to medium sized fire alarm projects.
• Experience in JD Edwards/AS 400 accounting system is desirable.
