Job Opening: Fire Alarm System Tester

Summary:
Adcock's Electric, Alarms and Controls, LLC is currently seeking a Fire Alarm System Tester to test and inspect fire alarm systems per the NFPA and local codes. Candidate must be at least Nicet Level II certified or must obtain Level II certification within the next year.
Job Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Perform fire alarm system tests and inspections according to NFPA and local codes.
Items tested include, but are not limited to, smoke detectors, duct detectors, heat detectors, pull stations, tamper switches, water flow switches, audio visual devices, annunciator panels and control panels.
- Communicate with customers and office through verbal communication, cell phones, radios, email, and PDA's.
- Provide detailed report to the office upon completion of the inspection.
Identify necessary repairs.

Job Opening: Fire Alarm Design

East Coast Fire Protection is currently hiring for the position of fire alarm designer. This position consists of the following job requirements:
- Must be able familiar with producing fire alarm system installation shop drawings including floor plans, riser diagrams, system component diagrams (point-to-point), and other layouts.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is required and basic knowledge of fire alarm systems is a plus.
- Other duties include takeoffs from bid documents, assisting our sales staff, performing light office tasks, and other related drawing tasks as assigned.
- Experience in use of a personal computer.
- Familiar with Microsoft Excel, Word, Project and Outlook.
- An insurable driving record and valid driver's license.
- Self-starter; able to work without close supervision.
- Must be punctual and reliable.
- Pay is commensurate with experience.
